....or trying to turn the doorknob? I only have one speed when I'm in the bathroom, and knocking doesn't affect that.

This is one of my biggest pet-peeves! The kids do this ALL the time! If I want 'alone' time in the bathroom, I have to announce it ... "I'm going to be in the bathroom for 15 minutes to take a shower - I don't want anybody knocking on the door". Most of the time this works - usually just solicits more obnoxious knocking! :)

I've noticed that too. They will keep it up as if knocking will somehow release the lock sooner.

Unfortunately, the knocks only seem to disrupt the momentum, so to speak, making it take longer

Put a sign on the door that reads "If this rooms a rockin, don't come a knockin"

i hate that sh*t too. my problem is if the door is locked why don't you knock first. lately when i go to the restroom at work, ppl just try to open the door first knowing it's close but don't knock. wtf?? if you see the door closed shouldn't you knock first or is that just me. but anyway i hate that too

They think it will make you go faster. Of course, you try to go faster but as you know... it actually makes you go slower cause you are trying to rush...

VERY annoying!

Maybe they think someone might have locked it by mistake.
