What is the best Mario game (for NES or Super NES) that you have played?

Games released after the NES or SNES era (Mario Party, for example) do not count. The games that count are the classic Mario games, like Super Mario Bros. 1, 2, or 3 for the NES, or Super Mario World for the Super NES. Any other Mario game for the NES or Super NES can be mentioned. My personal fave is Super Mario 3.

it would have to be either the original super mario bros. or super mario bros. 3

the original because it is the original, and without it, there would be no super mario bros. 3, plus it had duck hunt :)

3, because the graphics were better, and that it had a lot more things in it.

That's easy Super Mario 3 for the NES, it was innovative and most of all it was fun, and the two player option of having the classic Mario matches was always a plus

I always liked Super Mario - Legend Of The Seven Stars. It was the first RPG I ever played, and I still think its one of the best!

For playing with my friends I would have to say Mario Kart. That games is awesome! You can race a battle with your friends, I remember wasting whole days playing that with my friends!!
