once in a while my little one and me join my partner while he travels for his business purpose. The last time where we were in hotel for 2 weeks it was like hell. just because i am asian. They used to make fun out of me and my little one. if i ask for some service they never used to turn up. when i do go to breakfast they used to stare at me. it was like hell. when i told my husband he said that i am telling lies. because he used to go early in the morning and return from work at midnight. Again my husband is asking me and my little one to go to same hotel to join him. what should we do? It is not in all the hotels though, when we were in texas it was so good. Whole hotel staffs were friend to me and my little one.i am an indian american!!

I thought you said you were asian, now you say you're indian. which is it?

First of all your husband called you a liar and you put up with that? I wouldnt go just because my husband called me a liar

okay that clears it up, BUT STILL YOUR HUSBAND basically called you a liar. Is your husband american or indian, just curious. If my husband called me a liar, his body might be found below on the concrete but then again my husband respects me and wouldn't call me a liar, he would be calling the manager

Why is there racism in hotels? The same reason it's found elsewhere: stupid people.
You and your little one join your husband on his next trip
and, when you get to the hotel (with, or, if you prefer, without your husband, around) ask to speak to the manager. Explain your problems to him and I'll bet most and maybe all of them will disappear.
If they don't, ask the manager for the phone number of the "Regional Manager" or whatever his boss is titled.
You may have to go up the ladder a bit, but sooner or later you'll come upon an intelligent human being who will make those problems go away.

Are you Asian or American Indian? You have claimed to be both.

Oh, I have NEVER heard an self respecting adult making fun of a child.

Thanks for the clarification. That helps.
Do what I do when I have a problem with service staff-go to the manager-almost everyone has a boss & those who don't answer to the bottom line.

I would still probably go. It is sad that you are getting treated like that. But I always have the attitude I don't care what other people think of me, and you and your little one should just try and have a good time with your husband. Don't let ignorant people take away time with your family, because in the end they are the most important people.

I paintings for a inn chain, i could say no, get a room with a jacuzzi in it or a collection...you should get a serious high quality for the alarms going off..they frequently provide fines for smoking interior the room(like cigarettes) yet candles smoke may be basically as deadly. The smell will stay interior the room, you should knock the candles over..the ac might blow the flame to close to a minimum of a few thing that ought to capture hearth or the flame might injury it. besides the smoke in some circumstances can stain the ceilings..dont take the prospect which you will ought to pay thousands of money for some little tea candles...

You should go with your husband but if the same rudeness happens you should ask to talk to the manager. Tell him that the last time you were there this happened and you let it pass but now you have had enough. Stick up for your rights. No one deserves to be treated that way no matter what color you are.

my husband has the same problem in kansas where we live, everyone stares at him because hes asian and im white.... and people always stare at him.... i wouldnt go... but if i truely wanted to be with my husband... and if the hotel staff started to act racist, id call while i was in there and demand to speak to a manager, and if it is a widely known chain i would definitely call someone in command....

1st of all , because your better than them , they wanna envy you and make you feel bad , don't listen or care about them

2ndly , racism is everywhere , you can't deal with it or ignore it , just adjust to the fact that these people are still in the jurrasic era , they don't believe that u r who u r from the inside :)

Texas people are very friendly as i heard :) yet not all the people in the whole world are friendly , some are and some aren't :)

Your husband is right, you are a liar.
Yo tell us you are asian, then you finish off by telling us you are indian american, last time i checked, they are different races.
I thought Texas was full of rednecks!
