The structure of Argument question plz help!?

I need to find value conflict and assumptions behind these two arguments hel pplz!!! ^^

1.Students should obey a rigid dress code, because it would result in higher grades.
2.I would not like to see women in combat. If a war breaks out, we want only the most qualified people to be fighting for our country. I fear that women would not be able to handle the emotional strains involved in battle. Their strength as humans is in caring and nurturing. Let’s let them do what they can do best. And, just to show that I have no gender bias toward women, I want to point out that men are too weak to fight when women are present. They would be distracted by the desire to protect their female comrades. In general, the needs of men, women, and our country speak against permitting women to go into combat.

1) conflict: Rigid Dress code vs. Open Dress code
assumption: Rigid Dress code = higher grades...??? how do they know that for SURE? it is an assumption, not proven.

2) conflict: women being capable of properly defending her country in battle.
assumption: women's strength in caring and nurturing HURTS their ability to fight properly. also, that men would be distracted by desire to protect female comrades (DEFINITELY an assumption...have u heard that rape and harrassment is very common in a mostly male gender atmosphere?)
