I am a citizen of the United States of America. I have lived in other countries where the people referred to me as ‘gringo,’ which I took to be a complement because I saw a Humphrey Bogart movie once where others referred to him as ‘gringo.’ In fact, if someone asks me my nationality…from here on out…I will tell them ‘Gringo.’
