22 x 36. 2 bays and a 16 x 22 work area for tools and benches. I worked out of my 14 x 20 woodshop for many years building cabinets for general contractors, and was able to make it work. If you can afford it....put the $ into a radiant slab...it will save you $ in the long run, and it's a great kind of heat for finishing your work...consistent.

I think a 30X30 shop would be nice - three cars and room up front for lots of messing around. If you build it high enough you could stack cars in the future (holding six cars) and stiil have lots of tinkering room. Out front you would have a 16' (two car garage) door and a 9' (one car garage) door.

I've often wondered what a GARGE is..............Keep this in mind:
The garage that is too large has yet to be built.
That said, count your money and go for the largest you cannot afford.
32 Feet deep is minimum. Oversize the height of you doors, too. A seven foot high opening won't allow some tractors in there.
