Angel investors are people who have made good money and who now look for small businesses with potential to invest their money. There are angel networks in many states. Chamber of Commerce would be a good place to start. They might have more info.

I've heard the term Angel in the performing arts. It usually means the person who invests the money to produce the show.

investment angels are very entrepreneur and will expect great returns on their investment over a short period of time. Essentially they will own your business and you will work for them.
