My missus had a similar problem, you could have some kind of hormone imbalance, she went on birth control and it helped her a lot, you may want to talk it over with your doctor since i am not one. Good luck and i hope you feel better.

If your "periods" are light then heavy then light, you might be having ovulation bleeding. It's a normal thing, and you can experience this even if you have never experienced it before.

I would suggest going for a second opinion as well, why did your doctor give you a D&C? That is an invasive procedure for this kind of problem.

As for the cramps, your menstural cramps will be more severe after you have a baby. I know I've had this problem, and my cramps have gotten better over time, but you should not have to suffer. You might consider going on the pill, which will solve the bleeding and the cramps.

Good luck with everything.

Your body is ALWAYS changing and always will continue to do so, well past menopause.

You just had a baby, and your body has gone through a HUGE amount of change. I've read that it takes up to 7 years for a woman's body to return to pre-baby status. That is amazing to me!

At any rate, if you are thinking about maybe having another child in the future, consider getting put on hormonal birth control. Within 6 months, your periods will be regular (I can time mine to the hour I'm going to start!), your cramping and bleeding will lessen drastically, and you won't have to worry about unplanned pregnancy.
If you are fairly sure that you're done with babies, there's a procedure where they super-heat the endometium (lining the uterus) with a technique called balloonoplasty, thinning it to the point where cramps & bleeding are vastly diminished....but it does almost guarantee infertility. My friend had this done and she was SO happy afterward - 2 day periods, no cramps, etc.

If your gyno won't discuss options with you, find a different doctor!

Good luck.

Get a New and better Ob Gyn. Have a new and thorough exam to determine if you might have endometriosis.

I had two D & C's one no problem and one was unbelievably painful.

My period experience was ghastly, I had endometriosis. This causes horrendous cramps. In high school I was on prescription pain killers. So follow my suggestion and find a new and better ob gyn for a better more thorough exam and maybe bloodwork.

Good Luck Oh yes use ibuprofen for your periods that should help as its for inflammation.

That is really not normal! Is your doc a Gyno? If not I would find one, if he is a gyno, then I would find a new one and get a second opinion. I have always heard that bleeding between your monthly period is bad. Good Luck!

one word.... Endometriosis... look it up and you will probably find that you have the same symptoms. Talk to your doctor and if he doesn't do anything about it get a new OBGYN. Don't ignore it because it will just get worst. I am having surgery for it this friday. its my second one because there is no cure.

You have been invaded by aliens who are using you to breed an army of destruction. I have contacted Mulder and Skully, they should arrive soon.
