Depends on what it is and how serious. Go Scuba diving to the other end of the globe, attach a weight and stick in the deepest spot you can reach and make sure its tied and wrapped in meat/bait so some needy fish can eat the evidence and process it......soon it wont be worth more than fish crap and there wont anything FISHY about it

While this is one of the best ways and time-honored methods of getting rid of evidence, it is not foolproof. The problem is that technology is always on the coattails of peoples' innovation. We now have the ability to find evidence even among the ashes. It really depends on the type of evidence. Written paper can still be transcribed after burning (although very difficult) unless the ash is also broke up into many small crumbs. Bodies can be burned and charred to a crisp and yet now they can identify them still with a little extra work.

I would say that the best method would be on a case by case basis. Add some info about what you are referring to and maybe we can help you out more.

Evidence of what? physically appearance or documents? Question is too wide scope. In this case I would recommended you to make your own best judgments. Sorry I can't help you much.

Evidence can be anything from a smoking gun to finger prints to women's underwear under a husband's pillow. That means you can throw it in the ocean, wipe them off, or claim their yours and wear 'em. You need to be more specific.

By not doing anything that does not require evidence in first place.

Burn it. Then bring the ashes somewhere that will never be tied to you. I hope it's not body parts you are looking to get rid of!

well a self cleaning oven heats up to over 500 degrees to turn everything into ash. so thats a good way but a boat ride out into the ocean is also good.

Get it into the smallest pieces possible, separate the pieces and throw them in several different dumpsters behind grocery stores, restaurants, etc.
