When I was working every day, I bathed in the morning before work. It seemed only fair, as I would be spending the day with other people who might not appreciate a bit of aroma.

Since I now stay home and babysit my 3 grandsons, who's mothers work to support us, I bathe any time I have a free hour. It usually happens before I go to bed though, around 10 p.m..

You should never bathe in water that is too cold nor too hot. You don't want to chill yourself, nor do you want to sweat...you're bathing to get clean after all!

I always felt that taking a bath relaxed me. There are no problems for anyone taking one (except maybe for those people who have open wounds), health-wise. Women on their monthly cycle even benefit from bathing, as it can soothe away those menstrual cramps.

I also found that if I'm sick with a cold or the flu, I ALWAYS feel better after bathing. There is just something about being clean that is comforting.

Well. I like to shower in the morning and bath at night. The hotter the water is the better it feels. I have read that if it is too hot it will take longer for you to fall asleep when you go to bed. I usually can't fall asleep right away anyway so that could be a myth! I don't think there are any heath problems involved unless you are a pregnant female. It is bad to have a really hot bath or sit in a hot-tub while preggers as you can cook your baby. That's probably a myth too but I have been told that!

Hi teenager:
There are no health problems involved in taking a bath at night. Quite the contrary, a nice warm bath helps you sleep and if you've been working out late in the day, it helps relax your muscles as well.
You don't want a scalding hot bath, nor do you want a cold one. That's masochistic.
If you put a six inch board across the top of the tub you have a place to prop your book, and to store your cookies so they won't get soggy. Some of us like l o o o n g
baths.... but don't try this unless there is a second bathroom in the house.

Now depending on your daily activities it recommended that you take baths regularly. A hot/warm bath is relaxing to the body. It winds you down from the daily activities. A cold or cool bath is okay. If you are in a hot climate and you want to take a cold/cool bath then that's fine. As long as you have soap and washcloth/sponge to wash the dirt and funk. Now when you just sit in the dirty water for a long period of time that is where the problem comes in because the dirt is getting right back on you. If you find yourself sitting in the water for a long time, just run some fresh water and rinse back off.

I've always preferred to bathe in the late afternoon or evening. It makes more sense to me to wash off the day's sweat and dirt at the end of the day. Warm water removes dirt better than cold water does, and it's more comfortable besides. I don't know of any health problems associated with what time of day you bathe.

Why? I have taken hot baths at nights since I was a teenager and I am perfectly fine. I'm now 34.

Bath time of course is a preference. My whole life I have bathed in the evening with nice hot water. It is so relaxing before bedtime.

Old people use to say that it will bring ailmens, but that is just that a tale. There is nothing wrong with taking a bath at night. In hot months, I take one in the morning and one at night.

Taking a bath at night is very relaxing. I shower every morning, and take a relaxing bath every night. No, there are no health problems associated with it. Enjoy.
