carpal tunnel is a common disorder of the wrist and hand characterized by pain, tingling, and muscular weakness, caused by pressure on the median nerve in the wrist area and often associated with trauma, rheumatoid arthritis, or edema of pregnancy.

At the bend in the wrist (bottom side) there is a, tunnel or tube that carries the nerves, cartilage and arteries and veins. When it is not being over used in a flexed position, no problem.
But these days with computers, it is a big medical problem. The pinching causes a lot of pain. Try to keep your wrist straight.

But even if you have carpel tunnel surgery and don't change the cause, it will come back.

Walmart has this glove (it reminds me of the ones I used when I was in a wheel chair) they are stretch with a Velcro wrist strap. They help secure my wrists (for my RA, but I think they would work quite well for carpel tunnel.

The good thing is they are only $7.00 a pair.
They are in pharmacy with wrist and elbow supports. Good Luck.
