Generally, I will have to agree. There are some which are entertaining but even so there is about one good reality TV show for every 10 commissioned. They are mass produced due to the fact that they draw in many viewers from the largest audience groups; Teens, who these shows generally appeal to and to a lesser extent housewives, who watch a large amount of TV in the showing times of a lot of these shows.

What I hate the most is that they are cheap and easy to make but the general quality of other shows is getting worse. So where does all the saved revenue go at the tv stations? Probably on the top executives wage rises.

I don't tune into them except for "Amazing Race." There may be too many but people are watching them every week. Because i do work in the flim industry maybe i should get one going on all the people in here. Just need a title and how it should run. lol.

You are so right about it being to many now.I think the TV execs have forgotten how to make just straight up sitcoms or dramas.There are way to many reality and now crime shows on TV.

They're not REAL so why are they called that?
All they do is help networks save huge amounts of cash by not having to hire REAL writers or actors for their shows.
It's the hugest showbiz ripoff going today.

a total waste of time and money as soon as 1 comes on i am diving into my dvd /video collection..why are they called reality shows? who on..b** b****** (cant bring meself to type it)..acts with any reality?..the ones i do watch are informative life of grime/road wars(traffic police are my heros,wanted to be one but you have to be a woodentop first,too small for the mean streets..just wanted to do traffic)cant stand sheriff john burnell and all those renactments they do( yank programme)

I know what you mean- they are everywhere! Unfortunately, i still get hooked to some of them when they are on! In this day and age, they should be able to come up with a new idea.

No the generation out there is unimaginative, neglected Daycare kids...They are clueless..Just listen to their music compared to ours...I think we should go back to old school and moms need to stay home with their kids !
