Winston Churchill once said that "If you are 20 and not a liberal, you don't have a heart, if you are 40 and a liberal, you don't have a mind." I think that saying is true. Conservatism is something that you grow into as the circumstances of your life change (for most people that don't have a a self-interest motovated agenda). I know that I was a liberal untill I had children. I was pretty much a bump on a log, and I thought that I was trying to save the world, untill I realized that the things that I cared about were'nt really helping anyone directly, and now that I am wiser, I see that alot of beliefs that I had prior were really destructive. Thank God that we can make the choice to pull our heads out of our asses!!!!!

they STARTED this country! FDR started social security. other liberals have also started MANY social programs that most everyone has benefitted from at one time or another. and liberals act as a balance for conservatives. how would there even BE conservativism if there were not liberals?

Conservative and liberals exist to create balance. To live in a totally conservative society or totally liberal society, would tip the scales to the point that the scale itself would fall. Thank goodness for balance.

They have done good for the country:
They let their hatred show.
They are loud.
They have freaky ideas and fall for every conspiracy theory.
Because of all this, they scare people and cause them to vote against Democrats.
So they are doing some good.
