i am traveling from MN, what is the best and cheapest way for me to travel to Cornell. driving takes a long time and flights to Ithaca cost more than $400! Any suggestions from those who are in the same position would be greatly appreciated!

You may find a cheaper flight to Syracuse. The airport at Ithaca is very small, so flights will generally stop in Syracuse (or Buffalo) and add another leg (on a miniature plane) to Ithaca.

(I don't know where in MN you are flying from, but it is always cheaper to fly from a major airline hub to another one. Just go onto Travelocity or Expedia and while doing your search, check the box for "include nearby airports," not just direct flights.)

I'd suggest looking into flying into Syracuse and renting a car for the rest of the trip. It's only about an hour drive.
