Even if you dont believe in some of the things our President does, he is still our president, and if you cant stand behind him, right or wrong then your not a very good American. Think of it like this, we have all had a person that we are close to and they have been dead wrong about something, but do we turn our back on them and then run around in the media working over time to slander and de-value them? I think not!

For those of you that arent smart enough to read between the lines.......the question is that if you dont turn your back on someone you know even when you know their wrong, then why would you turn your back on your President even though he might be wrong. Hope this drawn picture helps out the dems that want to know what the question is.

Americans do back what the President is accomplishing ; however , the media publicizes kooks like Cindy Sheehan and then exaggerates the news , to further a liberal agenda .The democrats that don't go along , are suddenly "dropped". The drive-by media would have an absolute field day if President Bush avoided making an urgent decision in regards to national security , such as was the case when Clinton was in office - as per the book "Dereliction of Duty" , by Buzz Patterson .
Robert Frost knew what he was talking about when he said , " A liberal is a man too broadminded to take his own side in a quarrel ".If Clinton accomplished what "W". has , the left would be singing his praise .

I agree there used to be a time when the position was respected even if you personally didn't care for who was in it... there was also a time when former persidents all were in a club per se the current didnt talk about the formers and the formers didnt bash the current.. such times and respects seem to be gone now though.

But of course society as a whole has lost all respect for all things, respect your elders has pretty much gone away also as an example

A very good point - it is embarassing to hear some of what celebrities say about our President - they have a right to disagree - but they just make themselves, and other Americans, look like idiots.

No matter how you disagree with a President - they deserve respect for the office - unless they make a mockery of the office - like Clinton did.

you cant compare a friend who did you wrong to the president of the united states, its not even on the samel level. if im a bad american then so be it, bush can kiss my *** as far as im concerned. when your the president sure you make mistakes as any other person, but mistakes that involve 1000's of our fellow americans being killed is ridiculous and if HE were a good american he would take the nations opinion in consideration and by the looks of it, bush only has one thing on his mind and thats himself!

first of all you should be strong enough to stand for what is right and not hide behind your 'friendships'. that is the underlying theme behind all corruption. protecting your relationships instead of doing what is right. you have not become a responsible person unless you stand truth and honesty no matter where it leads you.

your supposition is flawed. First of all, Bush is not nor has he ever been a friend if mine and I would certainly turn away from anyone who was responsible for the death of thousands of young Americans for no just reason. Bush should be tried for war crimes.

I don't think the world is laughing at you because you make fun of your President. They're probably laughing (if they even are) at a lot more than just that.
