When we had a monopoly on nukes, Truman refused to use them to get the Soviet Union out of Europe because he wanted to create a threat so that the defense industries and the government could rape the public for the next 50 years. So when President Reagan put the screws on the Soviets, he was really defying the shadow government that controls the Republican Party and its phony opposition.
