Virgin does not require identification. You register your phone online, so you could put down whatever you want for your name.

As for companies that offer a plan/contract you must give your id so that they can perform a credit check.

It just really depends on where you go, pre-paid phones wont ever ask for id because some people buy them as gifts for other people and once the minutes are gone thats it....Some companies wont ask but to be on the safe side and if you dont have any form of id, go to your nearest walgreens, cvs, and get u an id made for like 8.00 or it maybe more give or take or use your work id along with your birth certificate and or soicial security card so they will know you are who you say u are

If you're going to be issued any sort of credit, then yes, you absolutely must have id. No provider will open the account (or at least shouldn't anyway) without at least two forms of legal id.

Yes, unless you are using a pre-paid service like Virgin Mobile. They need the ID to verify information for the credit check they do. If you don't have ID, pre-paid is your only option.

If you get a regular cell phone, they will need your information in order to bill you. If you get a Trac phone, you will need to sign up. I don't see how you can have a long term cell phone service without telling them who you are.

Evidently, they have to have your identification for billing and promotions. If you're referring to age, not really if you're accompanied by an abult (for cell plans)
