Self-defense or vengence? Rightful kill or stupid act ?

If I were fighting to defend my life and the other person had a weapon... maybe, if I was unable to disarm the person (been there already; luckily, I survived unscathed while everyone ran but a friend died and another person received 3 bullets... the s.o.b., tried to kill me because I ran to him and prevented him from putting a bullet in the person's head that had received the 3 bullets). So, yes, it would be self-defense but never in vengeance (I do not believe in vengeance)

People will react differently when they are in those certain circumstance. This reminds me of the rugby team who got lost in the Andes and ended up eating their dead to survive. If they were not in danger, they would have never done it, but to survive they had to eat their own friends to stay Alive.
You never know what will happen then. In self-defense! I don't know how I will respond. Vengeance, never. 'Don't be even, be odd.' vengeance is a circle of never ending hate.
But, for the sake of the question. I would NEVER kill anyone, not even if they try to hurt me, or my kids. I will let the law take its' role, and not be that person who wants to harm us.

In self defense or if one of my kids was murdered by someone, I would want to kill that person.

Self-defense and possibly vengence, if their wrong against me were bad enough. (Stole my life's savings or something)

Self-Defense... and they will have to be seriously hurting me...
Rightfull killl - they hurt one of my children... wouldn't even think twice.

I will kill any one who touches one of my kids in an inappropriate way. You know what I mean. Theres alot of sick people out there. We need to protect our children.
