Best for what? Best for whom?

The college that is best is the one that fits your needs for preparing for your future career, and also fits your needs as a student.

If you are interested in a Liberal Arts education with a very solid core in classics, and you want to be in a classroom situation where almost every other student from outside NYC and is brilliant and hardworking, and if you are concerned about having the ultimate level of prestige... then Columbia University, an Ivy league school, is probably your best choice.

On the other hand, if you want to be in business, and want to study business topics with only a relatively small amount of liberal arts classes, and you would prefer to have more local people from the NYC area, and still have a high (but not quite as high) level of prestige, then maybe NYU would be better.

There are quite a few other points to consider. You need to look up each of the good schools in NY (there are several) and see what it has to offer and whether that school is right for you!

you decide on a bachelors degree till you could now notice for a masters application, and you generally do no longer do a masters on the comparable college. Columbia has appropriate journalism classes, yet is extremely aggressive to get into and intensely costly. comparable for NYU.
