me n my partner are thinking having a baby in a few months and it really got me to thinking. i have my belly button pierced and am confused about wheter or not i should or shouldn't take it out during preganancy. i have heard from some it is better to take it out and some women i know leave it in. i don't really want to go through the piercing thing all over again. what would happen if i left it in? or is it better to take it out?

you can leave it in or take it out. I left mine in as long as I could. About 7 months. and after i was able to put it back in no problem.

Its not going to cause any problems it just may streach out the hole a bit. But if you take it out to begin with the the hole will probably close.

Another thing you could do it take it out but put it back in a couple times a week to insure that the hole will stay open.

GOOD LUCK

Well you can leave it in until your belly gets to the point where your belly button is being pushed out. Then again some women don't have to take it out because there belly button doesn't get pushed out. I know for me my belly button is as flat as could be...there would be no way for me to leave it in. I would ask your doctor about it. But if it gets pushed out it might hurt alot more than getting it re peirced. And anyways I don't thjink the hole will close up that fast.

You will know when it is time to take it off hon, don't you worry about it. I doubt you will be sporting that belly ring at 8 mos. especially since a lot of women's belly buttons start going from inny's to outy's by then.

I was told by my OB to get one similar to these. They don't like metal ones. He said just in case they needed to do an emergency c-section the ones like the ones on that web site are easier to cut off instead of the metal ones.

You can probalby find them cheaper on Ebay. I got one there for 1.99 plus s/h. It's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO comfortable too!

Don't leave it in!!!! It will leave a hole in your belly button that will be as big as a pencil end, no kidding. I've seen in happen to people.

I had to take mine out b/c my skin was stretched so tight and my belly button poked out all the way...If you dont take it out it COULD leave a nasty scar...I would just wait and see how yours does...

It is not advised to leave it in while pregnant! You could do some serious injury to yourself if you left it while pregnant! My sister took hers out when she was pregnant and was able to put it back in after the baby was born!
