You should have done it before he left the hospital after he was born. Good luck convincing a male to get that done at 12.

I hope you're kidding. Why would you just start asking that question now and put him through such a tramatic experience at age 12! What's wrong with people now days? Would you like it if they pulled you into a room of stangers and told you that you would have part of your penis cut off and removed (while you were old enough to understand exactly what that means)....not cool. You should have had that done within days of his birth. Shame. I think it's best now to leave it alone... until HE decides in the future to have a circumcision (unless he is getting chronic infections), since you outweighed YOUR option as a parent to do it in a timely fashion.

Just about 12 years ago. Why did you wait so long? Now he'll fear the pain, and know how things will look different. Get a good Doc, and good luck. Do it soon, before a whole lot of locker room teasing goes on.

Sorry but unless its for medical reasons i don't really believe in this procedure. I know some religions still do this but i think its awful, you don't gain anything by it.So if its not medical give the poor boy a break.

NEVER! Don't do it!!! He will have a lot of pain, possibly severe psychological problems, and he'll be mutilated - he can never have it put back. Leave the child's penis as nature intended it to be!

If it was meant to be done... it should have been done when he was born... not now... as he may not thank you for doing it... he should have a say... (unless it is a medical problem, then it must be done as soon as possible)
