Definately use a microfiber cloth and turn it often. Use a high grade wax. Try avoiding the biggest mistake everyone makes... putting on a thick coat of wax, a thin coat works much better. Also read the instructions and follow them. Do 1 section at a time and not the whole car at once. Don't work in direct sunlight. Usually what causes scratching and swirl marks is a build up of wax and debris on your cloth, shake it out often and keep turning it.
Personally I've used a random orbital buffer for yrs, if you decide to go that route remember, Do not apply pressure, let the weight of the machine do the work. If you have wax that isn't removed then it was on to thick and you need to attack that spot by hand.

Good luck and happy polishing!

Use a high quality liquid wax and don't put too much effort into it. Pressing too hard on apply or removal will create swirl marks. make sure that you do this in the SHADE. Use a foam applicator to apply a thin coat of wax evenly, then buff it off with a microfiber cloth. Use a clean microfiber cloth to wipe down the car after you are done.

Make sure that you wait the recommended amount of time before you wax after a new paint job...I think it is 3 or 4 weeks, but I am not sure.

Go to the place you had it painted and ask them your question, or at the auto place, such as Auto Zone or Pep Boys. they can give you some good advice.
