For the past couple of months, I have gotten white spots on the back of my throat. I can easily scrape them off. I also recently developed pain in my throat, but its not a sore throat. It's higher than a sore throat. It is also painfull to swallow.

See a doctor next time. It sounds like you're getting some sort of recurring thing. Try and see if it's connected to any particular action or activity. You may have a place where you're getting repeatedly exposed to something.

I lived in Colorado too. Denver area, twice. Not bad, but I like the coast better.

Don't be stupid. DO NOT scrap your throat. That alone would cause a sore throat.

Contact a doctor and have the doctor culture the throat to see what is causing the white spots and prescribe the correction medication.

Could be one of many different things. Mono, strep throat, tonsilitis etc. Go to a doctor and get a throat swab. You may require antibiotics.
