You have to understand that Bush doesn't care about anything but money. He sat by while those planes hit and in 5 years goes to the site of the center and puts his foot in his mouth again. He won't admit to any faults , even the faults he knows he has. More fires are started by man than nature and we need those trees for the animals to live in. They can't survive in the spindly ones left after the logging and those trees purify and help fight the pollution Bush creates.Yea, I'm a tree hugger.

Actualy if you are an alchoholic, and you are able to drink a glass of champagne without giving in to wanting more, then that makes a lot of sence. It is you showing yourself that you have control over what once controlled you.

And here in florida, the Appalachicola Forrest gets Prescribed burns, and has long lines of timber cut down, to keep from forrest fires overwhelming the forrest.

If you keep the underbrush burnt down, then the fire has no where to go but to the tops of the trees, which you can contain, buy cutting down the trees that are lit. The lines are a further protection against said canopy inflamation.

First: Great news source. No really! They're completely non-biased and I'm sure they don't put any kind of spin on their stories!

Second: Wildfires are a natural occurrence. They happen every year and will get worse and worse without management. Personally, I think they should just be let go, but then you have to remember that 50,000 acres of naturally burning timber and grass puts up A LOT of smoke and air-borne particulates. Too bad you let your blind hatred of Bush get in the way of the truth.

Typical.
