Ok, I didn't notice until after I'd put it on that the expiration date on the packaging said 06/06. I had completely misread it! I tend to get my prescriptions 3 months at at time, and I guess I had this one for awhile. Is it still safe or do I need to take it off? It's been on now since Sunday, so I'm afraid of messing something up if I just take it off. Does anyone know if it is safe to keep it on? I've already started the typical side effects of headaches and stomach upset, ick. If anyone can let me know, I'd greatly appreciate it!

I wouldn't take a chance. It might be fine but why stress yourself out with the worry. Inside the package it says if one falls off to replace it with a new one... I'm sure you could do that with this one and you'd be fine.

PS how long have you been on the patch? Those symptoms should start to go away once you've been on for atleast 3 months. I know, that stomach upset thing sucks.

I had the same thing happen while I was on the patch. I toOK the whole months worth that I had left back to the pharmacy. They traded me for new ones with no problem. I did ask the pharmacist if it would have been ok for me to use the expired ones and she said yes. Most medications are still good when the expiration date rolls around. Drug companies are required to put the date on to protect themselves from law suites. I would definitely try and get a new pack. If you can't and you're a worrier like me, just use back-up protection for now. Good luck!

Go get new ones and take the expired one off. The price is too high to keep an expired one. Especially if you are already feeling sick. Besides, the effectiveness could be compromised from an outdated patch. Are you ready to me a mother?
