For: It's something most people can't afford so it'd be good for those people if the Government paid for their health insurance.

Monopoly = higher prices = bad.
Competition = lower prices = good.

It is also immoral and unethical. Stealing my money (taxes) to pay for my nieghbors health problems that are his fault (smoking, obese, STDs, etc) is just plain wrong. If you want to smoke 3 packs a day and eat a dozen twinkines, I'm fine with that. Just don't force me to pay for your health care.
