Kindly contact Builders Association of Orissa and then register yourself as Estate Agent under prevailing Act.However you need to know various things and many provisions of the Law for which you either work with a Law firm for some time or Employ Lawyer for this purpose.Good Luck to you.

It sounds as if you are doing the right things by hiring an attorney. And yes I agree that they may get away again with this type of fraud. I do agree that the license of the Realtor should be revoked. And they should be fined heavily. You might want to ask your attorney if the state will pay damages due to the Realtors actions. I am sorry this happened to you and your family. There are laws to protect a buyer from such things, unfortunately, sometimes the law's can not catch them in the act of doing the damage. I wish you the best of luck.

Back 20 years ago, you had to be a 'sales agent' for a minimum of 3 years before you could be a 'broker.' In many/most states, only brokers and attorneys can sell real estate for someone other than themselves.
