1 drop equals 0.06485 Milliliters, and if I take a certain medicine in pill form instead, which is measured in miiligrams, I need to convert these measurements. 30 drops three times a day is how many milligrams in pill form?

I really don't think it is possible to safely convert ml into mg when dealing with medicine. One reason is because even the same medicine will likely be formulated differently depending on whether it is in liquid or pill form. Another reason is the medicine in liquid form is likely to be more concentrated than the same medicine in pill form.

If you are not sure, then I would advise you to contact your doctor's office or consult with your local pharmacist.

Milli=1000.....milligram=1,000th part of a gram....a milliliter is 1,000 part of a liter...there are 1000 grams in a liter of water at normal conditions so but extrapolation it is easy. gtt is the abbreviation for drop and in medicine we use 24 drops as equal to one ml. (sometimes 20 is used) but you are talking apples and pears as one measurement is liquid and one is a solid and thus not the same.

You can't really convert milliliters to milligrams any more than you can convert gallons to miles.

I'd say ask your doctor.

Compute your meds for you? I'm sure your computer has a calculator function. I would venture that a litre of water is 1000 grams, but if i'm wrong you might die. 1ml = 1gm., but we're not talking about water, so who knows...

Anyhow, all you gotta do is convert drops to ml, then divide by 1000 to get mg, assuming the unassumable.

can't give an absolute answer without knowing how much medicine (concentration) is in the liquid version. sometimes the dosage is given as something like "30 drops, 3x per day (2.5 mg 3x /day)"

30 drops 3 times day
total vol=30*3*.06485 ml
=5.8365ml
unless density is provided
it is not possible to convert mg
assuming density=1mg/ml
ans=5.8365mg
