I find the lack of political sense confounding. If you want to win votes, which the Democrats must do, as they are not the incumbents, belittling people and accusing them of urinating on the Constitution will not get the job done. Weird. It's just blows me away that they continue to publicly (on this forum and others) alienate much needed moderates with vitriol.

Good Post
I am not a republican and not a huge Bush fan, either. To answer your question, no they are not all congregated on this forum. There are many bashers in this country.
The main thing you have to remember is that the Bush bashing is just a symptom of a very tragic disease that has taken a foot hold in the United States. A disease that will be the demise of this country probably within our lifetimes.

I was thinking that Bush apologists were thick as thieves here.
Isn't it comforting to know that the GOP will spend $60 million dollars in the next few weeks leading up to the mid-term elections on personal smear campaigns. And the dream team of Bush, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld, and Rove are out in force using the bully pulped, network television and public airwaves, and flying on our dime to promote the terrorism scare and war in Iraq. It is totally appropriate that wanna be neo-cons and bloggers act in concert. Who can say what "these people" think? It is guaranteed that there is no "one thought" held by the loyal opposition but it does seem that there is a ground swell of support for a return to a more traditional system of governing with checks and balances and oversight.

Dont confuse stating facts about Bush as Bashing what you need to be is open to the debate...thats the intent of this format..I know some folks get carried away..we all do...but here are some cold hard facts for you to gander about your Dear Bush
That Republican guru Grover Norquist has been found to have aided financiers and supporters of Islamic terror to gain access to the Bush White House, and is a founder of the Islamic Institute, which the Treasury Department believes to be a source of funding for al Qaeda, suggests Norquist is at worst, naive, and at best, needs a wider circle of friends.
That the Department of Justice consistently chooses to see accused 9/11 plotters go free rather than permit the courtroom testimony of al Qaeda leaders in American custody looks bad, but only because we don't have all the facts.
That the White House balked at any inquiry into the events of 9/11, then starved it of funds and stonewalled it, was unfortunate, but since the commission didn't find for conspiracy it's all a non issue anyway.
That the 9/11 commission's executive director and "gatekeeper," Philip Zelikow, was so closely involved in the events under investigation that he testified before the the commission as part of the inquiry, shows only an apparent conflict of interest.
That commission chair Thomas Kean is, like George Bush, a Texas oil executive who had business dealings with reputed al Qaeda financier Khalid bin Mafouz, suggests Texas is smaller than they say it is.
That co-chair Lee Hamilton has a history as a Bush family "fixer," including clearing Bush Sr of the claims arising from the 1980 "October Surprise", is of no concern, since only conspiracists believe there was such a thing as an October Surprise.
That FBI whistleblower Sibel Edmonds accuses the agency of intentionally fudging specific pre-9/11 warnings and harboring a foreign espionage ring in its translation department, and claims she witnessed evidence of the semi-official infrastructure of money-laundering and narcotics trade behind the attacks, is of no account, since John Ashcroft has gagged her with the rare invocation of "State Secrets Privilege," and retroactively classified her public testimony. For the sake of national security, let us speak no more of her.

i don't live in America, so i cannot really speak to your question by comparing support for republican versus democrat; all seem to be the same animal; republican slightly more concerned with property; democrat slightly more concerned with people; both more concerned with maintaining control by the elite
i think you will find bush bashers in any forum where there is a serious intent to understand the state of the world today. even if uninformed, folk realise that America is at the helm and the president symbolises America to the rest of us. Pretty difficult not to bash bush when he is selling american ideals down the river, when he is deliberately, consiously and willingly subverting everything America has been about since her inception. Everything that is, but control of wealth.
very difficult not to bash a guy who is so transparently contemptive of the planet and his nation

Maybe for the same reasons that Bush supporters congregate on this forum. If you can't see why Bush is getting bashed here, you need to get out of Texas.

Here's the thing, LeAnne, as a Democrat I find forums such as these some of the only mediums to releave my frustration with Bush. The mainstream media does not allow equal time for the liberal viewpoint, so we have to come here, to the Internet.
So, it isn't that the Democrats have a secret strategy or that we are overly negative/aggressive it is just that you are seeing the pent up frustration of not being able to be heard.

Face it LeAnne, the Bush admin record is the Dems best campaign tool.
The growing numbers of people dissatisfied with Bush (Bashers as you call them) are reflected in the numbers of posters here.
