i seem to know a girl who dresses like a rocker and i was wondering wether she is a punk or a goth?

yeah, if she's a rocker, she's a rocker. Doesn't mean she's punk or goth necessarily. Although actually the mainstream is misinformed about what both goth and punk are, so there's a good chance she's definitely neither a real goth or punk even if she came across as what the mainstream considers goth or punk.

Well if she dresses like a rocker I'd say she's a rocker...
Punk and Goth are closely related (in my past experience) but it seems punk is outwardly angry and goth is inwardly angry/sad/lost.
I was a goth in the 80's and hung out with all sort of 'freaks'.
To me a rocker is someone into BonJovi, Def Leopard, and other hair bands.
You need to find out what kind of music she listens to...
I never knew a Goth 'into the devil' btw. I think that's just tv picking out a group of people who look different and making them the 'bad guys' for their crime shows.

Well they listen to different music and dress differently as well. Goth r more into black,dark things. Punks r more not caring wearing ripped clothes, believe in Anarchy(the hardcore punks). Goths may be satanic(not all)

A goth was a person from a Germanic tribe known as the Visigoths from around the 900s. A punk is a jerk. If she is mean she is a punk. If she is medieval, she is a goth.

True goths are religious and nice.
True punks are rebels and anarchists.
It's the attitude, not the clothes.

Goth is more for the Devil//dress all in black//can be tight or lose clothes....punk is tight clothes on boys & girl really has nothing to do with the Devil

Goth is really into some weird stuff, the dark side.
Punks are just like against everything, not really into that dark side of the force.

If she wears all black and is into satanic crap, then she's a goth, punks are more likely to look colourful
