One of the females is constantly fighting with the other two birds. I want the birds to mate but doubt that any babies will hatch with the agrresive female in the cage. One of the females have laid two eggs last week. But were destroyed by one of the birds. I believe it was done by the aggressive female.

I used to breed my parakeets as a kid... I think that if the agressive female is interfering with the other female and the egg making it, then take the agressive one out and put it in a cage elsewhere. Make sure there is a nesting box for them to lay the eggs.

For starters, just because a paraket lays eggs doesn't mean much. Some parakeets will lay eggs even though they are not fertile or there is no male.

If you are serious about having them breed, you'll need a nest box - available at most pet shops. Parakeets won't even consider breeding for a family unless there is a suitable box in the cage or attached to it. They have very specific requirements for setting up housekeeping to raise a family. No nest box - no babies.

Yes, keep them all in the same cage. What you see as being aggressive may not really be what you think it is. Parakeets are not little people with feathers. They do not act the same as we do. They are social birds that stay in huge flocks in the wild. They will settle their differences their own way.

you could no longer cause them to, yet you may provide them the perfect danger. Have any of the birds actual paired off yet beit male and male or between the boys and female. If the two of the boys and female chook seem as though they are becoming to be a pair evaluate taking the different chook out of the cage for a at an identical time as though this is achieveable. That way you have chop up the threesome and the different 2 might probably mate. If in spite of the fact that the two men have paired or bonded which in some circumstances does ensue i do no longer think of you have got lots achievement with mating. stable luck .
