can Lego's support a roof?

how much would it cost me to bild a 1000 square foot house out of lego blocks, could they support the a roof?

You might be able to build the faces of the walls in legos, but you will need some internal structure to hold up the walls, let alone a roof. The biggest problem will be around doors and windows, there aren't large enough pieces to make those spans strong. It also might get to the point when the bricks at the bottom begin to collapse under the weight of the bricks above.

Price? That is difficult to say, it has a lot to do with the type of bricks you use and how many internal walls you have.
