I normally listen to country music and a little rock, but I also like Christian music also. I am a Christian and I do go to church and all but have never really gotten into Christian music. There are a few songs that I have heard that I like such as Jenny Owens- If you want me too, and Father Can You Hear Me, not sure who sings that one. It was on Diary of a Mad Black Woman at the end, Better Is One Day, and I Can Only Imagine. But those are about the only Christian songs that I know. Not counting the Hymnals. Anyways, I like songs with a beat, and something like I can sing to in the car....lol....any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

There's lots of choices in the genre of christian music, a good way to check out a lot of different popular artists is Wowworship.com, it has lots of song clips, with links to each bands website, and the Cd's are compilations of the top songs of any particular year, a good way to sample what's out there. My personal favorite is the band 'Newsboys' a rock band from Australia. DC Talk is also really good, which started as a rap group but progressed into a more alternative style, I'm not huge on rap but the later stuff is very good. Other personal picks are: Jars of Clay, Mark Schultz, Audio Adrenaline, Steven Curtis Chapman, Micheal W. Smith, Geoff Moore, Delirious?, and Sonicflood.

Good lists above.

I'd add the Newsboys to the list.

To get a nice feel for different music you can go to www.klove.com. Its a syndicated christian music radio station. You can listen online or check out the station list there might be one in your area.

krystal meyers is a pretty awesome musician. she's like an avril lavigne/kelly clarkson-type of christian rocker. her voice is really powerful.

I also like relient k, switchfoot, the afters, and stacy orrico too.

Try a band called Lifehouse. Their song "You and Me" is great but all their songs are really good.
