People have started parking their campers and such there, and our family has known of poor people that were buried there back when an old church stood about 40 years ago. With lack of funds, many could not afford a gravestone, but WE know they are buried there. Who would I contact about this?

Contact your County Road Department or Parks & Maintenance Department and ask who takes care of graveyards in your area. If they won't help, contact your local Historical Society, they may be interested in helping to preserve it. Is this on private property? If so, it may be difficult to keep the owners off of it. Find out about the old church and see if any new church replaced it in another area. There may be some people there who would be willing to adopt it.
Lastly, go to www.findagrave.com and put in the information on this cemetery. If there are any headstones that are readable, you can list them there, along with a map of where it is. This will help ensure that the little cemetery isn't lost to history. Good luck!
