To know what exactly is my proxy server, I opened my IE then go to tools-internet options-connections and finally to LAN settings but no proxy server, address and port written to the spaces provided for it. I want to know if there is still other way to have info on my proxy server so i can already use my newly installed yahoo messenger.

If you're at work, ask the sys admin what the proxy is.

If you can get on the internet without anything in the proxy settings box, then you don't need to specify a proxy in the Yahoo Messenger proxy box because you're not using a proxy.

What would make you think you have a proxy server in the first place?

If your computer is at home and you didn't actually set up a proxy server, there is none and you don't have to worry about that.

If you are at work and you think you have a proxy server, they put it there for a reason... to keep people from chatting away and not working.
