Florida lies on two coastlines - the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico.
According to the map provided by the poster below, Portugal lies on one coastline - the Atlantic Ocean. Even though Portugal has a south coast - if that coast faces the Atlantic - it is considered one coastline. The Gulf of Cadiz is considered an arm of the Atlantic Ocean - hence, the Atlantic Ocean.

Portugal has a flat bit in the South and a long bit on the west going north, in other words it has a corner!! It is in the Atlantic, all of it. It is joined to Spain in the east. The Portuguese don't like the Spanish very much!! Forget the bit about fish and chips written by on of your repliers, they obviously haven't been to the right bits in the south (Algarve). The reason there are a lot of tourist there is because it is the best bit.

Portugal has one coast line on the Atlantic, there is South and West and the West is far superiour to the South unless you like fish and chips and English beer and then the South is the best!
