This paper's all about you! It's asking what you liked when you were a kid growing up. Can you remember?

If you need a creative idea, you can write a poem about it. It would probably be different than everyone else..
How you can do the poem?
There's a poem exercise called "I Am From..." and you talk about certain things in your life.

The first part could be "I Am From..."
and you could talk about where your special places were in your childhood

Ex. "I am from a city in which I'd go to Sea World and watch Shamu do flips..." and add other things. Bonus points if you rhyme, but you don't have to.

Then the next paragraph could be "I Am From..."
then write about songs I liked

Etc.
Other ideas you can write about:
Describe items in your home growing up, items or places found in your neighborhood, names of relatives (esp. ones that link to your past) and say something specific about them, sayings ("It is easier to catch flies with honey than with vinegar"), foods that brought the family together, and places you keep your childhood memories.

Hope this helps.

Perhaps you could start off with a paragraph on your childhood. An example might be:
"I was born on a farm in Kansas in 1984 into a family of four brothers, 5 sisters and the greatest mom and dad in the world. We lived about 8 miles out in the country so I never had a lot of ineteraction with kids other than in my family"

Then I would focus on one or two events that occurred that are favorites, such as:
"I remember an event that occurred in 1999 after the family returned home from town. Dad pulled out his guitar and two sisters played a banjo and the piano. We sat around the living room and sang for over two hours. It was so much fun and I felt very close to my family. I remember how mom and dad sang a couple of duets to us and we did one song that was an echo song. Dad would sing a line and we all echoed him. We just laughed and laughed all evening. There was such a warm glow in the room and when we went to bed we all hugged each other and told each other how much we appreciated them and being part of this great family."

Make it very personal and use the first person singular format which is "I remember, I did, I know, etc."

Good luck

Your entire childhood is part of a past that will never exist again. As you age, your childhood will get further and further in the past, until you can no longer explain to children what it was all about. Some general thoughts describe a typical Saturday Morning when you were ten years old, or describe the first full day of summer vacation, or what Christmas was like, or what kind of food your grandmother kept in the house just for the kids.

I was a kid about the same time, I'm 24. I grew up in Southern Indiana. I went to grandparents houses a lot, Disney World once, Six Flags a couple times, and Holiday World (Amusement park in Indiana) almost every summer.I loved the song "Manic Monday" and sang it on my radio with the microphone attached. I liked "My little pony", "Popples", and "Barbie." Books, um "Green Eggs and Ham?" My dad actually made us green eggs and ham once and we were scared to eat it. About comfort foods? Food wasn't a focus as a child, but my Grandma is the best cook ever, and we got excited about going to Chucky Cheese's. It was called something else back then though. Happy writing with your paper, hope it goes ok.

Im 21 so you often watched superted and banana man. On saturdays you would watch Saturday Disney in your strawberry shortcake bed, your mum would bring you pancakes, you loved to jump on the trampoline and play with your border collie, you fell asleep many times to the meatloaf, roxette, transvision vamp and guns and roses sound track of your parents partys. When travelling you would get butterflies in your stomach in hope that your parents would stop at the big golden M.

well, today may not be the day to write the paper.
or start on it.
or think about it.

When you least expect it---you'll recall special stuff--JUST THINK ABOUT IT!!
