Because thick was the standard beauty back then, just like in the 50-60's Marilyn Monroeesk like full hour glass figures were and thin women weren't. Beauty ideals change with time. Beauty is in the eye of the be-holder. Plus back waaayyyy back then thick meant wealth because then you could afford to eat.
As for your question I would want to be celebrity thin, but not Nicole Ritchie thin. Thats just gross!!!!!!!!!!

I am I guess what you would call thin. It's natural and I never was concerned about it but people kept pointing it out. I have three kids ages 4, 2, and 9 months and I am still the same size (A size 1 or 0, 5ft 3in) I gained 40 lbs with each pregnancy and lost all of it each time. No stretch marks! (Thank you JESUS) I love my body and so does my hubby. It is a shame that the focus is mainly on weight and not health. I'll say it again, I just love my body I have always had it! LOVE YO'SELF!

Goddess thick! But unfortunate the consensus is more for celebrity thin, so I go for in between, curves in all the right places, my husband agrees!

Because, in ancient times.... "thick" was a sing of richness, it was a way to show that your hubby could support you. oh! and I rather be healthy than "celebrity thin" or "goddess thick

Goddess Thick
Thin is NOT appealling and I dont feel that men like thin either, unless they tend to be thin themselves....or a closet homo.
I think healthy, voluptuos, curvy women are far more attractive than thin ones.
Size 12-14 is the perfect size for me.
I also belive confidence, a great smile, warm open friendly personality and strong morals and convictions are attractive qualities.

Gimme the Goddess thick. I like alittle something to hold on to. I like alittle warmth in the bed and something to snuggle up against. I need a little cushin for the pushin.
