everything will be ok! Don't stress yourself out about it! Just think positive, also caffeine isn't a good thing for you to have, try to limit that. I hope everything goes well for you

At this point, your baby is fully developed (organs, bones, etc.)--all that's left to do is grow and get bigger. Any defects that your baby might have have been done, and there's nothing you can do really.

This being said, do you have a reason to worry? (e.g. Do you take a prescription medication that can cause birth defects, or do you have a family history of genetic defects?) If not, then don't worry--I'm sure your baby will be fine! Just try to eat healthy as much as you can, avoid all dangerous things (too much caffeine, smoking, liquor, etc.) and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy.

The good news is (being 15 wks. pregnant) that your risk for miscarriage has dropped dramatically at this point! Congrats on your baby.

Unless you have some hereditary defects in your's or daddy's family tree, really nothing to worry about. You don't have to take those tests if you don't want to. Sometimes they turn up false positives.

Everything in moderation. Can be a good idea to cut back or cut out caffeine if that makes you comfortable. I've had the occasional glass of wine, 3 cups of coffee daily and smoked throughout all 8 of my pregnancies. No complications, no abnormal children, all healthy perfect babies.

Don't feel bad about worrying about your little one. It just shows how much you love him/her. I am pregnant with our second child and I am worrying tons . You shouldn't drink caffeine while you are pregnant. I am concerned because I have a thyroid disorder . There was a girl on TV that was born without arms and the doctors said that it was because of her mother having thyroid problems while she was pregnant with her. Of course that could happen even if a person was perfectly healthy. My daughter was born perfectly healthy and still is,so I guess I am worrying about nothing. Just follow all of the rules and you will be fine. Congrats on your little one.

its normal to worry about if ur baby will be healthy. but they will perform blood test to determine if ur baby has in abnormal birth effects. then at 20 wks u will get an ultrasound that will check on how ur baby is developing and make sure ur baby's size is normal for ur pregnancy week at the time of the ultrasound. then the doctor shouldhave asked u if u and ur family have any health problems and diseases. if ur familty doesnt have any health problems or the father ur child will be fine. and yes caffine is really bad for a developing baby and it causes dehydration for u and the baby.

I know the biggest test that they do is for Down Syndrome....I'm not sure of the testing time. There's quite a few tests that they do and a lot of Mother's decline for them to do all of those test including anything needing an amniocentesis as some people see it as 'risky'.

I hope you have a happy and healthy nine months!!

Did you know that testing for Down has it's own danger? There is a slight chance they damage your baby. This chance is as big as getting a baby with Down syndrome.

caffine won't harm your baby-but lack of sleep will also caffine make you jittery and paranoid...sounds like you've got enough of that going on already...relax and enjoy your blessing
