It means you are not being asked to give any help or other consideration.
In a battle in which the contestants or one of them asks no quarter it means they expect no mercy or to die if captured. Give no quarter means you would give no mercy and the enemy would die at your hands if captured.
"Asked no quarter means not to give mercy, or help, or aid" the term is used in ball games to mean you would do anything in your power to defeat your competition

The phrase means to take no prisoners. There was a custom in Europe during the middle ages where prisoners of war, (importamt titled nobility), were taken prisoner and ransomed for a quarter of their worth. To give no quartwer was toi forgocapturing that person and and gaining the ransom money.
