1. Latitude, it is hard to find too many extremes in altitude where the climate is vastly different than the area around it.

2. Leeward, to prevent soil erosion.

3. Storms in the Atlantic rotate counter-clockwise when they start from the S. Hemisphere whereas the ones everywhere els in the continental U.S. are rotating clockwise and thus move West.

4. Weather fronts work to regulate temperature. Cold air moves tward warm air and overtakes it.

5. The greenhouse effect shields us from radiation yet it keeps the heat in like a blanket, causing global warming.
