I just bought tickets on eBay for Sunday's Packers-Saints game (paying twice the face value for 30-yd-line seats, 30 rows back). Here's hoping the predicted rain will stay away!

We will be driving up from Indy, and will stay the night in Milwaukee before leaving for the game. Where should we park (is it better to park a few blocks away and just walk through the tailgating area?), what time should we arrive, what routes have the least traffic problems (57 instead of I-43?), and where are the "must-see" (and "must-eat") places to go while we wait for kick-off?

Any and all advice will be appreciated. Thanks!!!

Hammer: I'm designated driver, so I don't have to worry about it! =^)

Jeanne: Although I own a cheese-head, I'm actually a Colts and Steelers fan. I just want to visit a historic stadium (before the snow sets in), check out Reggie Bush, see Drew Brees as a pro (saw him at Purdue), watch Favre before he retires, and buy a classic Green bay jersey (maybe Nitschke?).

zahbudar: I'll keep those in mind, thanks. Are cameras a bad idea?

Shoeman: Great substantive post. I'm sure I'll enjoy the visit, and I hope to spend a lot of money there. =^)

it will be awesome. I live in GB...as far as traffic...EVERYTHING is going to be busy (41 is bumper to bumper)..try 43 to 172..then follow the signs. Park a few blocks away..expect to pay around 20.00 to park (even private lawns around the stadium are good bets)..enjoy the walk thru the tailgate area (you'd be surprised how many "away" fans will be there)...get there early...EARLY I'd say around 8 or 9 am. Enjoy the experience...be sure to check out the new atrium located INSIDE Lambeau..its pretty cool...(bars, restaurants, hall of fame..etc)..also..a bar next to the stadium always has some action )bands, parties..etc)..try Krolls..or Stadium View. Have fun

As a lifelong Green Bay fan, and Wisconsinite, I will tell you that to really enjoy the mystique, get there ultra early to pay an arm and a leg to park in the main stadium lot. You will be able to see "real tailgating," and mingle with the Packer fans. Be honest with them why you are there, you will find they will take you under their wing and show you around, that's just how we are in WI. Lambeau is awesome after the renovations, so really get a good look around at the new atrium and other activity sites. Thank you for coming to our wonderful state to see what may be a few firsts and a few lasts for the Packers.

Okay.

Wear your wallet on a chain around your neck.

Carry a $5 and a $20 bill in each pocket, not all together in one lump.

Always walk in a group of five or six people.

Don't go into the rest rooms if you ae the only one in there.

Get "too drunk" at the end of the game not at the beginning so you will enjoy the initial experience
