Assumeing youre talking about a common ant spray bought from the counter, you should be fine to plant now.The killing agent will disapate quickly in the outside elements.

If it's a flower garden go ahead. For vegetables, you don't really know because you did not list the active ingredient(s). For plants you will eat I would be cautious and wait a month for the rain to leach the chemicals out of the root zone.

In the future make sure you use a chemical designated for certain areas in those areas. A good chemical to use for ants in a vegetable garden is Sevin (carbaryl) or Eight by Bonide. Then you can plant right away.

If you get me the active ingredient(s) and % of each I can give you a more definitive answer.

If youre planting any old outdoor plant, it is fine. If you are planting fruits or vegetables....may want to wait about a month or until the toxins have washed away so the roots dont draw them up.

next time try used coffee grounds to get rid of the ants. It's worked for me several times and then you can just work in into the soil.
