I missed the first hour of the movie and the ending didn't make sense to me because I missed the 1st part of course. Can someone explain it?

This Susan (I think) meets Joe Black in a cofee shop then when he leaves he is killed by a taxi, but she never sees this...she just felt inlove with the guy but doesnt know that he was killed
Soon the DEATH take Joe´s body and go and visit to Susan´s dad and he tells him: I am the DEATH and I come to take u with me, I will stay with u some time while u finish ur business. So Joe (now the death) goes to have dinner with this guy and meets with susan gain, she thinks this is the guy he met in the cafeteria, but he doesnt have a clue...any way they both fell in love but susan´s father is so scared coz the DEATH wants to take Susan with him too...at the end his father dies and the DEATH give the original Joe his body back...and susan never knows about what happened.

The body of Joe Black was hit by a taxi. Then Death took over his body and he went to visit his victim. When he saw the victim's daughter he became interested in her. Then at the end, he arranged for the guy (the body called Joe Black) to be given a second chance so that he could meet and be with the daughter.
Go and rent the DVD so you can see it all the way through. It's a good movie! (anyway, I'm a real Brad Pitt fan)

I remember the movie but I have not seen it in years. All I can remember is Joe Black was played by Brad Pitt and the other main male character was Anthony Hopkins (I think)

Death (the grim reaper dude, with the hood and sickle) came in disguise of a human body. Brad Pitt get's knocked over by a taxi, and death uses his body. He tells the old man, that he is death, and asks him to show him around first.
In the end, Daddy and Death leave, and as a present for the girl, death gives Brad his soul back, so he gets to stay with her.
