The flying one is kinda cooler, BA in criminology sounds a bit more run of the mill. Why not do one, then the other.

Have you had a long standing ambition to learn to fly? If you are serious about it maybe you should do it.

On the other hand, how can you ask this question to a bunch of strangers who don't know you and expect a good answer? Just decide what you want to do more.

If possible, maybe goto school for the BA in criminology, and get your small aircraft pilot's license on the side. Then if you like flying more, persue license for larger planes.
I know there's a small eairport about 30 min from where i live, and they have people working there that will teach you to fly, many of them really enjoy it and will do it very cheap, as well as let you use their planes.
Im 18 and am going to school to get a BA in Architectural Design, and I recieved my light pilot's license about 3 months ago.
Personally, I want to be an architect, but being able to fly, even small planes, on the side is great!
So just go for whatever you chose, or try to do both.

I think that if you are afraid of heights or do not want to do such a risky job, you should go for the Bachelors degree in criminology. If mother nature says that she's going to start a storm that will wipe you out of the sky then sometimes there's nothing left to do but pray. However, if you study for a degree in criminology and you have to work with criminals one day, just try and remain anon.

You can potentially make a lot more money if you fly professionally (like if you work for a major airline). Criminology has a lot more potential for being interesting, in theory. But you might just end up as a prison guard or something if you're not really smart and ambitious.

Criminology is usually a very easy major and I wouldn't recommend it unless you want to be a police/parole officer. Why not get a degree that gives you marketable skills like business or education?

Lately pilots have been forced to accept lots of pay cuts. I would go with the degree.
