I can't tell you who it was, but I can tell you it wasn't Flutie.
Flutie kicked the first in like 60+ years, but not the first ever. It was common place in early days of the NFL to dropkick.
The last, before Flutie, was Scooter McLean for the Bears in the Championship game, 1941.
