With a deficit of trillions and no plan to get out of it I think our dominion has an expiration date.

You know I have given this very much thought. I love our country and I feel it is the duty of each of its citizens to protect her. The problem is it seems like her citizens are "giving up" on her.

If our fore fathers could see us now!

I can't really answer this question as a yes or no, question. Truth be told, I don't know. I can only speculate based on past history and current affairs. America has been through so much in a very short period of time!

I truly believe if "we" and world affairs continue as they are we will see WW III in the 21st century, I do hope and pray America comes out on top. It has its problems, but then again what country doesn't! If we want Utopia, I feel the individual has to find it within themselves. Utopia will not happen on this planet, anytime soon.

Thanks for asking this question, I hope more people will take a close look at America's future.

Take Care

Yes. I'm guessing that the united states will stay the most dominant power in the world until the late 22nd century. Unless something big happens. I think it would take some sort of serious event like a gigantic meteor hitting the united states or nuclear war for things to change this century.

As for China & India being the dominant country in this century if none of those things happen. Come on, are you kidding me? With as much poverty as India has! And Pakistan always sitting their to kick them in the teeth. As far as China goes they could be number two but first they have to get rid of communism & their one child policy & stop selling their children. They're going crazy giving all of their girls away right now. How the hell are you supposed to be a world power that lasts without females?

But if they never started that one child policy they have, yeah i'd be thinking the same way. Especially if they would have gotten rid of communism & never have started the one child policy. Of course i would have thought that Russia would be in better shape today as well. But the main reason they are struggling i think is because of all of the different parts of the soviet union that broke off.

When it comes to small countries though in population & square miles. It's really not fair to compare the United States with them. Instead you should compare them to the inividual states of the united states. And if you do that with many of the western & northern European countries like the Uk, Ireland, France, Norway, Sweden Germany for example. You'll find out that the United States isn't doing as great as you think it is in many categories.

But one official language, all of the racial diversity & how good the citizens of the united states of different ethnicities & religions or believe systems get along compared to most other contries. The fertility rate being at 2, not great but better than a whole lot of other countries. The amount of natural resources we have. Decent economy. Plenty of men still willing to volunteer for the military. Are system of government doing a pretty good job of preventing some sort of dictatorship. We're in pretty good shape compared to the rest of the world.

Of course all we had to do to get this way was to make broken promises to the native americans & put them in reservations, (a method that according to the history channel Hitler admired & used as a sort of model for what he wanted to do with the jews, although taking it to the extreme of course), strong armed the european countries & the mexicans for more land, & saved the a$ses of the British & French (We owed the French one though for their help in the Revolutionary War) in a couple of World Wars lol.

Of course that little constituiton that they wrote that's still around today did help lol (but keep in mind there are many constitutions that have been written throughout the world & there are close to 16 Federal Republics now & even though all of them are young they don't have the same allure for citizens to leave there countries & join there's that we had & now with the united nations putting a curb on imperialism...) And those that left the old world who were not forced into slavery writing back about how great it was & sending back money. And the grass is always greener on the other side type thinking & if it wasn't, this was my choice & i'll make the best of it type mentality. And many that did not do well didn't want to go back home in shame so they stuck it out. And minds from all around the world eventually doing what they can to work together as one even through all of the controversy. And also being so far away from any real legitimate world powers base of operations for the longest time when the world was not as close as it is today. A country's rise to power is not as simple as all of that but it's a small summary anyway.

Yes

The biggest threat to the US is the current division within. Extremists on both sides are passionate about their beliefs and seem to hate each other more deeply than they do anyone else.
If the US can become more politically united and work towards a common goal, there is little that can stop the American people.

We would be if not for the Aliens on the MOON,,,
It's the Aliens,, they are sending signals to my brain,, they keep saying "Except them, love them, take care of them, give them all you have."
They really just want the USA to be mired down in the same filth as all the other third world country's which is caused by their ignorant people. They are doing this so we will never be able to expand out into space.
Aliens RULE!!!! Bush is their puppet!!!

I think China will, but I think it's growth will slow as it's populace demands more civil liberties. India is too chaotic to become a serious world power at the moment. Major global economy, yes, but political power, no.

Nope! not if the Liberals have there way, actually I'm not sure if it's just Liberals there seems to be a vast conspiracy that includes some aspects of conservatives as well. I think the Conservatives are Rino's though. "Republican in name only"

Yes but China and India will close up the gap considerably.

No. The US has squandered its 15 minutes of fame spreading rock and roll, Coca Cola and McDonalds along with third world goods and labor exploitation.

The ascendancy of China promises nothing better, however.
