One would hope that this is a humorous question, but if you ARE serious-you need to get the heck out and get the help you need. There are places out there to help you, believe me.(i speak from bitter experience of having 2 physically abusive relationships-and an emotional one...and no,i am not a weak person,i just don't fight back against women who are like that, they are not worth it,and you cannot reason with them)If,on the other hand,it IS about football-i am completely in agreement with your wife!!

If you can get her doing another task, she won't have time to bug you about watching football. A good task for Sundays might be mowing the yard, complete with edging and weeding. On Sunday and Monday nights, you might look inside the house for "projects" she can work on, like repainting some rooms. Or maybe you could just get her on that addition to your house you've always wanted.

Ok, do you tell her what to do? Anyway, you need to stand up for yourself and watch the game if you want to. A relationship is a two way street yall both need to give a little bit. But as it being an emotional abuse I think it is not. You need to be a man a stand up for yourself don't let no women tell you what you can do.

What would she rather you do? I see nothing wrong with letting a man do what he enjoys,ie. watching football. Tell her it is the perfect time for her to see her friends, get some chores done around the house, even tell her to sit with you and if she likes to nap have her lay her head down on your lap and nap. That's what I like to during any sports that are on the TV. Good luck

Oh, gosh... some people here really don't dig you, dig they you???
anyhoo... you can tell her that the only way you're going to stop watching footballl all day on Sundays is if she can hold holy water in her mouth all day... (That will stop her from talking) :)
