Why is there so much pressure on women/men these days to lose their virginity by the time they are in their late teens, many programmes seem to always make out that most young people are sleeping around many as young as 12/13, i'm no nun yet people have to make out I must be one or a lesbian if they find out, anyone else similar to me?

There is nothing wrong with you. At least you can hold your head up high and say you have done exactly what you want. I have never had a serious relationship but i have slept around a bit. I would trade places with you any day.

there is never a set time to meet life's milestones, and some you dont even have to meet at all. Being grown and a dignified person is you, yourself being comfortable with your challanges faced in life. Not easy to do always, yet not one person alive has every single thing that the world says they need for a fufilling life. The world's definition of a fufilling life doesnt even take into account the indiviudla person, thier struggles nor thier expereinces. There are many women AND men (although harder to find) that have had BAD expereinces, and (I am one). Some other are simply more careful and smarter than others and dont waste their time on quick modes of fufillment and acceptance (often they seem great at first and change with the wind). If you have waited longer, I see you as stronger, dignified, and willing to wait for what matters. Last week at the grocery store, I overheard a lady state she had just got married to the very first date she ever went on. She was 46. The world may call her unattractive, self-absorbed, a loner..whatever. I saw a woman of true faith and with awesome values. She didnt hurry with a quick answer to fufill a dream. She got the best one (for her) by trusting herself and whwt life is really all about. Finding a partener is one thing out there we dont have to rush for (as opposed to taking the job you didnt really want because you need money to pay the bills, or renting an apartment in an area you didnt want because is the only one close enough to your job in your price range, etc.-unfortunately life throws these things at us)--thanks be to God we can take all the time we need on fiding true love ,and even if it never happens we can still be beautiful wonderful, caring and yes--intersting people beacuse we are his ultimately, not amyone else's.

you are a very very good girl , and be glad your a virgin, I know people say oh look no boyfriend, and maybe friends have boyfriends, my ask yourslef this , are their happy? no they not, the get pregnant, kill the child, live unhappy lives because there rush into to things, and being a teen, I dont understand myself why people break they virginity. it still a very young age.

I'm still a virgin at 21, never really had a boyfriend, but im very happy, to have concentrated on my life and make progress, which later on in life is very useful. No one can say your a lesbien just because you havent had a boyfriend , tell them to shut up if they say that to you. Ive liked boys, and one thing is guys are too scared anyway to ask us out, you will find someone, I hope I do, so people say, because ive asked the same thing that im 21 and never been on date lol, just always look for a nice guy ok, thats what im doing , and also I started masterbating at 19 , so really Ive just learning myself, I think everything has its own time, I wish to married then break mine , you know with the right person., who will care for me, and know I saved myself for him, and I wish too that the guy would be a virgin too, it does mean alot to me .

Be married than break your virginity , never just break, always wait till he comes, I hope god help you and me, an im glad to have knon im not alone, and neither are you, and be happy, enjoy the freedom.

I had my first girlfriend at 20 and I had the best relationship ever. So I lived the same rarity when I was 19. Everybody else was having partners and sleeping around except me, however it wasn´t really something I was worry about. Chin up, don't worry!!

Don't worry about it. I didn't get my first real relationship until I was 18 and I held on to my virginity for a while. You aren't a lesbian just because you don't have a boyfriend.

I'm 19 and I've never had a boyfriend either, I don't think its bad at all, everyones different and I don't think it really matters when you loose your virginity (within reason!) I just try and think about what I can do in order to make my life better then I think everything else falls into place! I would'nt really think about it!

It is common in much of Asia to not date until after college since nothing should get in the way of your education.

Those who rush to have a boyfriend are giving in to peer pressure and generally lack confidence in themselves that they can exist on their own.

Good for you!
