I looked all this up one time. I could go back and look up my whole response, but basically, most clothes have blue fibers. It's a little more complicated than that, but not much. If you want real details, start here:

According to a few sites the reason we have lint is because it gets "gravitated" there by the hairs on our bellies and "funneled" down into the button. Innies have this more than outies... and apparently men get this more than women.

The reason it is blue/grey in color is because all the fibers of our clothing combine and the colour will most often come out as a dark colour... sort of like the filter in a clothes dryer. The lighter the colours of clothing you wear will determine how light or dark your "lint" is.

Apparently your skin also can determine the colour... the lighter you are, the lighter shade your "lint" will be. Not too sure about this but it was mentioned in one of the articles I read (see third link)

The first link I've provided shows someone's vast "collection" of lint (he's going for the world record I assume). He also goes into detail about the why's and how's of colours of your lint.

The second link provides similar details on the question you asked, but without the "scary" collection photos.
